Giday all
West Melbournian here
On the Motorbike forums we often hook up for a wrenching session at a host garage (to do maintenance or mods)
do fcpx users do the same sort of thing ?
pizza, stubbies (IE: beer), laptops and a all out editing session ?
if not, shouldnt we ? :woohoo:

Traditionally that was called a Final Cut Pro Users Group. They're getting more rare now. Mostly folks chat online. But here's a list of the remaining user groups. I ran one in New Orleans for 8 years, it was great fun, miss it.

Sandgroper here (West Aussie) who uses FCPX, and has now delivered TV Program content to 7, 9, 10 & Fox Sports over the past 12 months!
Plenty of emerging FCPX users in Oz... particularly since the 10.1 update.
There's still some who yearn for track-based timelines... but in the end those people will end up overrun by the cool-kids that are learning a digital-file based workflow of the future.

Dean...

There's quite a few of us in Melbourne. Don't know about Sydney as they are always 15 years behind the rest of Australia.
It's been suggested starting up a User group. I suggested: FinalCutPro User Group Australia or 'FUGA' for short.
Mostly we hang out on the Facebook FCPX groups as you don't have to log in every time you visit. Hint hint.
