Freeze frame/ hold title

Hi,
I am trying to make a title or generator in motion that will, when added over a clip in FCPX, will cause the clip to hold or freeze frame for the duration. I dont want to use the hold on the timeline, I want the title or generator to do it.

I can not get the behavior Hold Frame to apply in motion.
I tried it after making a clone layer as well, but cant get the behavior to apply.

Anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong?

Can't do it with a generator at all, need to do it with the retiming function in the Timeiine. Maybe it would work with a Drop Zone, but I doubt it.
