PIXELFILMS STUDIOS, SHAM!

Just wanted to put this out there to anyone in this community to shop wisely if your hunting for plugins for FCPX..
There are a lot of great companies popping up eager to sell you plugins they are building from MOTION, which if you take the time you could probably build yourself.

One company I thought was so great was PIXEL FILM STUDIOS, Great site, great marketing, great promos videos etc..TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I bought 3d text plug and it simply just crashes and won't work. I have done everything I could think to get it to work. I had to actually had come to this site to get someone to help me connect with them. Try sending them an email! They all bounced back! Once I did get in touch they sent me an indigent one liner, heres a video on how to run FCPX the right way! Really! I've been doing this for over 10 years! I know how run my system and my studio!

I simply want a refund or a solution or a coupon for something else!

Remember you buy at your own risk with these people! no refunds is the norm.

The big pro companies give you trials and won't generally do refunds but I have had all the big 3 listed below refund me for something over the last 10 years if there was a misunderstanding or a corrupt plug...if anything they all helped to resolve any issue. Instead of using stall tactics..

My point to this rant is to please shop smart. I did by some cool things from them but again the marketing is better than the product. Really watch the videos and promos, Your NLE can already do a lot of the things they are trying sell you.

These companies are a bit more expensive, however you absolutely get what you pay for with these services.
FxFactory is a community of smaller Plugin developers and they are backed by FxFactory and can be trusted to help you with issues.

Oh by the way I'd be happy to give this 3D plug to anyone in the community willing to find out why its not working well for my system..

PIXEL FILM STUDIOS has a very bad reputation as rip off company. They have been accused of buying other peoples products, then just ripping off the work and reselling as their own. Do a search here and you will see lots of threads about the problems with this company. This peaked about a year ago.
Thanks for sharing as new folks and everyone needs to be reminded to stay away from them.

Thanks for the response Greg. Pixel films did respond to me after reading my post and this is what they had to say.

I won't include my response but I hope this helps them and others to become a better companies. They did refund me for the issue.

There are many things that could case this to happen: other plugins installed, bad render files, bad install, ect.
