FCPX current v.
Capturing old miniDV tapes (no problems there), but during import, the sound comes out of the camera speaker, not the headphone jack of my iMac 2013.
SysPrefs = 'headphone jack', and I haven't found a command in FCP menu. (Remember when iMovie asked to 'play sound out to camera'?)
I realize that if my deck still worked I could go audio out to the Mac…oh wait: might the A/V cable work?
Little Canon HV20
hmmm…will check it manaña and let you know (unless you give me the answer first)
TIA

OK, sorry to waste your time, but maybe someone else will come looking for this info…
I can only blame that lobotomy last year. Just typing the question, of course I jogged my half-brain. Been so long, and I never used a camera for capture back in the day.
Answer: headphone jack OUT of camcorder, IN to my subwoofer (or headphone/speaker jack on the computer).
Have anice day, and thank you for all the previous and future great advice!
