Hello everyone,
I'm creating this post for I don't seem to find answer to my question anywhere.
I'm having an issue with sound in FCPX which is driving me nuts.
Basically, after I apply audio enhancements to some clips, I can't export properly. All the clips and audio tracks to which I didn't apply audio enhancements will export properly. All the clips to which I applied sound enhancements are muted (PIC1). If I share to Compressor, also the preview (so before actually exporting) is muted.
The clips with audio enhancements play normally on Project Timeline.
Another weird thing is that I can't access the panel of audio enhancements. The blue button with small arrow won't simply work (PIC2).
I tried to copy/paste some footage on a new timeline and the buggy behavior stays the same.
I'm really out of ideas.
I wonder if anyone has experienced anything similar.
Any tip or advice will be largely appreciated.
Thank you all in advance.
Best!
Paulo

Hi Paulo, welcome to the forum.
This is indeed a strange phenomenon. We can go through a number of steps trying to solve this, but first I would need to know what version of FCP X and OS you are using.

Thank you very much Ronny.
I'm using OS X 10.9.5. FCPX 10.1.3.
I recently found a workaround: if I detach the audio tracks from the video tracks, then I can export properly the sound.
Let's say, I solved the problem but the behavior of FCPX is incorrect.
Once again, thanks for taking care.

Paulo,
Thank you for posting feedback on this problem. I agree it's a strange issue and it should not happen. If you have the time for this, submit feedback to Apple via the feedback menu inside FCP X.
