Match Color: GoPro & 5D was created by Schwalbach
Hi,
I am trying to mach the color of 2 cameras in a concert.
One is a GoPro on top of the drummer and the other is from a 5dmarkii.
I have tried the Match Color function in FCPX and a little color correction but I can't get it right.
I am leaving here a link with the two frames, one from each camera, hoping that someone can give me a hand.

I'm no expert on colour grading but have learned a lot from Denver Riddle's FREE 15 part colour grading course. You might find this helpful too:

Had a quick look at your posted images: the 5D shot looks a lot yellower than the GoPro. Depending on which way you want to go adjusting the yellow/blue balance might be a good start point.

Thank you Squamish. I have tried a few things but not happy with the results.
I will have a look at those tutorials.
Basically I want to color the GoPro to look more like the 5d.
regards

Hi Schwalbach,
I did a little quick adjustment and got it closer I think. The colour changes are as shown - exposure and saturation I tried very minor tweaks. It's not perfect of course.
I think it'd be easier with the actual clips because the 5D shot has the drummer just at the moment when his shirt gets a full reflection of the light so it's difficult to match that bright white to the white shown in the GoPro shot.
Anyway, I hope you get the results you're looking for. Keep us posted.

Thank you Squamish. It's much better.
It solves the difference in warmth at least...
