How can I create this effect??

I need to know how to create the effects they do with the text and the effect they are doing with his fingers as in the drawing with his fingers, basically all the yellow is what I'm wondering how to create.

Great clip. The effect you point out is amazing.

I might be wrong but I think what they do is actually drawing on the video. So I'd say it's not an effect, just a lot of manual work and that's why it's so amazing.

They might use a tracker (TrackX) to follow the fingers, but you'd still have to make the drawings in photoshop.

Someone, shout if you know a better solution.

So to draw that though how would i go about doing that ? from not only the drawing but the jittery-ness of the text.

Text can be done in Motion. You'd use air brush settings, etc. Not something you'd do your first time using Motion. Ripple Training has some good tutorials about kinesthetic video test. Random mindless thoughts...

It's in three steps.

Step 1.
Basically you'd open Photoshop (or Motion) and make your text once.

Then you'd modify it (a little wider, a little distorted). You'd make 3/4 different texts, everytime a little different.

Step 2.
You open FCPX (or Motion) and you make clips with your text, frame after frame. You place your 4 texts and loop them. Create a compound clip or export a new clip with your animated text.

Step 3.
You place your text wherever you want on top of your video. And if you need the text to follow the finger, you have to use a tracker (plugin TrackX in FCPX, or tracker of Motion).

It's actually very simple in theory, but time consuming in practice.
