How to Speed Up the Text Animation ?

Hello,

I'm a new Final Cut Pro X user. I was using Sony Vegas previously.

I recently bought a few text plugins from Pixel Film Studios, but I can't figure out how to speed up the text animation while making the clip stay up longer. I was hoping someone could help me with this or direct me to a tutorial on this subject.

Right now, If I drag out the clip so it'll stay up longer than 5 secs, it slows down the animation, which just looks annoying.

I'm also having problems with options.
For font selections - most have a blank page in the text tab.
I don't understand what .............. dot dot dot with up and arrow tabs do. When I click on it, I get a pop up with a check mark and more dot dot dot....

Please direct me to a tutorial on how to use this plugin for FCP. Their site didn't seem to have a simple how to on this. And the tutorials they do have seem more like ads called tutorials; highlighting options as fast as possible so people see everything that can be done if you buy it

Thank you for your help in advance!

Hi Jena, welcome to the forum.

I agree PFS should warn people about this issue.

Most PFS title templates have no Build In/Build Out markers, which causes the animations to run slower when the title is made longer.

If you want to make such a title longer without affecting the speed of the animation you will need to open the title template in Motion 5 to add Build In/Build Out markers to the template just before and after the animations, then save the title template again. If you don't have Motion 5 I'm afraid you will need to chose other title templates that can be lengthened without affecting the animation speed.
