Text Disappears Once Keyframed?

Im just trying to have some text start out of frame and fly in as a subtitle...I drag it off the frame, set the keyframe, and then set the second keyframe where I want it to end up...but wait! I can't.

The text is unavailable to grab with the mouse pointer after setting the first keyframe...if it used the X Y Z controls it will move the text container box, but the text is gone and nothing makes it show up again...

i feel like I've done this before, no problem? Is this something I'm doing wrong or a glitch/bug I've somehow not noticed until now?

What exactly are you keyframing? The transform position? How exactly are you setting the keyframe? How are you moving the text?

If you're using the transform function you have to move the entire wireframe not just the text position. There is no keyframe function for positioning the text.

You could use the Custom title, which allows you to create animation functions to move the text and other things.

I'm just creating a bit of text, then positioning it off screen. Setting a position keyframe, moving the text where I want it, then setting another position keyframe...

I see the little text box go flying according to the keyframes, but the text disappears once Its placed off screen.

I guess ill need to try it with moving the entire wire frame instead...hmm...could of sworn id done it with just text box before...as I think I could see the box moving along the key-framed route...just with invisible text.
