I'm looking for intermediate online (or other formats) training for FCXP 10.1 and Compressor 4.1.

My searches have produced a lot of beginner material, most older versions.

I found lynda.com which has many FCXP training as well as a couple on Compressor. $25.00 monthly membership fee for access.

Anyone have experience with lynda.com? Yelp has only 9 reviews (company has been around since 1995), many other reviews sound more like web advertisements in an effort to increase their web hits.

Ripple? A little pricy but looks interesting.

Any other suggestions would be helpful.

No experience with Lynda.com.

Ripple Training is very good, IMHO

Then there is Larry Jordon, which I thought was too pricy.

And macProVideo.com, where I have a pretty nice Compressor course. Not to mention the tons of great HUB articles for free.

I've used both Lynda.com & Ripple training for FCPX. Lynda.com has good solid training, but in my opinion nothing beats Ripple to get you up and running fast.

Cheers!

I'm hands down Ripple. I use a Mac and the tutorials are all Mac related, they don't waste time explaining how you do all the alternate methods/key strokes for it to work on PC's. They have many FCPX, Motion and other videos. At least 1 on Compressor.

The last tutorial (#42, 7 minuets) on the latest APVS FCPX (Total run time over 6 hrs) tutorial from Ripple gives a quick down & dirty intro to compressor.

I find Ripples tutorials simple to understand, plus you learn it by following through with the practice projects you do along with the programs. I find Larry Jordon difficult to follow and confusing compared to Ripple. I don't like to pay monthly for anything, just to get access- I like having something to go back to and not repay again & again (I would have paid more through Lydia in the time I spent getting through the thorough Ripple tutorials).

That's just how it works for me, I'm glade to know what works best for myself now.
