After editing my videos in fcp x and I then save as default on my desktop then I upload to facebook but after uploaded and watching it on facebook the video quality is poor! What video format should I save it in before I upload to facebook to keep the video quality high?

What are your project settings? Is playback set to optimized/original? Are you exporting a ProRes master file? Facebook compresses pretty much everything to shit.

Thanks Tom
I save it as master file in format video and audio.
Video codec: H.264
Resolution 1920x 1080
Only just got fcp x, first time ever using video editing software.

To start with, Facebook compresses videos A LOT. So they will look bad no matter what you do. Secondly, the FB video viewer seems to always default to low res which means it looks god damn awful. There's a tiny little HD button on the player you can hit that makes it look a little better.
I would avoid uploading to FB, actually and link YouTube/Vimeo videos instead. Seems like FB is trying to make it harder for those to play directly in the timelines etc though, so might mean lesser views.
Damn, I hate FB. I get probably 98% of my work there though, but also waste 98% of my time
