Multicam edit Modes was created by Schwalbach
When editing a muticam clip, we either have several individual tracks with all the angles or one compacted track with all the angles inside. How do we call each of these modes? And is there a shortcut to from form one to the other?
Right now I double click the one track to expand it into many tracks....and then the "Go back in timeline history" button to go back to one track...Is this the right way to do it?

That's the right way to move between items in the timeline pane.
The multicam clip is opened into what's called the angle editor, which appears inside the timeline pane. The multicam clip is edited inside a project, which can contain a lot of different media in addition to the multicam clip.

You don't 'edit' in the Angle Viewers timeline (… uhm, well, you can, but ..... )!
a) a MC doesn't replace the old 'tracks' metaphor!
b) a MC is a clip as any other: you select parts of it, cut it, blade it, trim it, nudge it, 'staple it' (e.g. for a synched pic-in-pic effect, or for my ' Game Time Trick ') etc ...
.
.
.
.
.
............ aaand, finally, you can switch btw diff. cameras (… or audio tracks … or both) without losing synch by simply hitting 1,2,3,4 .. for each assigned cam angle.
The Angle Viewer Timeline is to arrange the tracks (which one is 1, 2,3, … or Which one is the 'main' one?), to adjust clips (nudging position, general CC), to add or minus angles. But, imho, is NOT meant for editing - you instantly lose synch, when you start to fumble there ... and that's its purpose: to synch, that's all.
