3rd party temporary plugin removal

Hi,
I have a big project coming in and I would like to temporarily remove all 3rd party stuff.
Here is what I tried, with no success..

1. Create a new user login (admin), dragged in FCPX (from old user apps folder) to the new user desktop and opened it. All plugins were still there
2. Moved everything out of the motion templates folder to the desktop. Opened FCPX and all the missing folders started re-populating themselves.. so all plugins were back in FCPX.

Is there anyway to do this?
I want to be able to put the plugins back into FCPX as needed for other customers

thanks
Kurt

You should have mentioned, you're talking about FxFactory plug-ins. ;)
You can get rid of them only, by launching the FxFactory app (in your apps folder) and uncheck them there...

Other plugins repopulated as well, not just fxfactory..
odd..
I was thinking that maybe if I zipped the folders once taken out of the the motion templates folder that may work.. I started to do it but the test was on a external USB2 boot drive backup and it said something like 55 minutes to zip it... lost patience with that idea..
But yes, I think in fxfactory app you can just disable them.

I thought a new user would do it.. maybe I need to re-install fcpx rather than just copying over the app.. maybe there are some links within FCPX that get created for plugins..

Get this: www.digitalrebellion.com/promaintenance/ Among other things it contains a Plugin Manager which is exactly what you need. :-)

Can't sleep? Try this: fcpxpert.net ;-)

Thanks, but $130 is a bit too much...

Understood. The tools have been real useful for me, but it is pricey. I wonder if anyone makes a similar, stand alone app? If not, someone should... Spherico? :-)

Don't they still offer a short trial version?
