1- Inport all media
2- Transcode all media to proxy (from the browser)
3- Create multicam clip
After I create the multicam clip, fcpx starts transcoding the multicam clip over and over again.
ronny courtens wrote: What do you mean by transcoded? Have you optimized the footage to ProRes 422 while importing it into FCP X?

Yes, that setting was ON. Turned it off.
But what does that mean? Why is it transcoding a mulsticam clip if all the included media is already transcoded?

Now, the preference setting does say "optimize", not "proxy", so that means it is set to create ProRes 422 normally, not proxies. But I'd think it would, or should, recognize ProRes formats, even proxy, and override itself. That'd make sense, right?
