Hopefully a quick question. When I am editing and place my position at the end of a timeline it reads 28:30:01. If I then look at the bottom of FCPX at the total timecode it displays 29:31:25. Why is there a discrepancy between the two.

I have never seen such an issue, nor have I seen anyone posting about this. The total times should be the same.

Are you sure you don't have a gap clip after your last clip on the timeline?

If not, can you post a screenshot of the timeline?

No gap clip... I've attached a screenshot. I know it's not much of a time difference but it's really annoying!

EDIT: I also wanted to add that when going to the share menu it reflects the timeline position timecode as the length of the export file, but upon export it instead matches the timecode of the total duration at the bottom...

Check your project settings. Are you working with drop frame timecode?

It was not, but switching to drop frame and then changing it back cleared up the issue!

That's what I thought. Glad you found it.
