Hello all,
I'm new to FCP X and actually using a trial version. Currently I'm trying to transform a clip however the blue handles that are supposed to appear to carry out the operation don't show up so I can't carry out the transformation. I've selected a clip by clicking on it which results in it being highlighted in yellow. however when I select 'Transform' from the dropdown menu in the viewer instead of handles appearing nothing happens. Selecting 'Crop' or 'Distort' also results in no handles / bounding box appearing.

I'm working off SSD drives using a mid-2011 Mac Mini with 8Gb of memory.
Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

Your playhead needs to be parked over the clip you want to transform or crop. If the clip does not show in the Viewer you cannot use the Viewer controls.

That's worked. Thought simply selecting the clip was all that was needed - it's always the little things....
