4K+HD Multicam on 1080 Timeline - UHD 'conformed' to HD?

Hi All -
First post, but before that... thanks are in order for the many things I've learned (and de-bugged) already from this great group from years of being a lurker. The expertise and insight here is very much appreciated!
I am a new owner of a GH4 and shot my first 4K (UHD) last week along with 3 other angles of HD via GH2.
Created nine angle multicam and excitedly dropped the MultiClip into a 1080 timeline.
Selected 'None' in Spatial Conform of a 4K cut expecting to see 'the big 4K zoom in'... and nothing happened.
Looked at the info field of the 4K clip I was hoping to conform and it's listed as 1920 x 1080.
Went back to the angle editor and the info field for that clip and it's listed correctly at 3840 x 2160.
I seem to recall reading that this was a bug but can't find any solid info despite a reasonably exhaustive search. Appreciate any help.

When your MultiCam clip is set to 1080, size/res is 1080 ... no bug at all.
But, to my observation:
When you apply your MC to a Project, and zoom-in into that 4k material, it is 4k; smart for re-framing (I'm assuming, that's what you want to do…)
I'm using that every week - on a smaller scale (1080 in a 720 MC/Project)

Hi Karsten -
Thanks very much for the prompt response - I think this answers my question!
And yes, I am wanting to reframe.
When I did so with a 4K clip in a 1080 MC/Project, I couldn't tell if my reframing was working without loss of resolution, etc. I guess that's a good sign that it IS working.
I created a test 4K MC and dropped that into a 1080 Project and the info field for both UHD and HD clips was listed at 3840 x 2160. So apparently the selection of MC and Project settings overrides the actual settings/resolution of the clips themselves (in the info field)... but the function for reframing 4K in a 1080 timeline is still there. Cool.
Thanks again!

test it with extremes - create a 480i project, add your 1080-MC with the 4k clip and zoom-in 1200% (I don't use this 'spatial conform'-thingie for video, somehow, in my mind, this is for stills only  )
.... me no engineer, just a 'user', but it looks like, a MC is no real 'physical clip', but just some 'reference list' to the source clips ...
glad, it worked out for you !!
