Opening Library from Backup

Hi All-

I made allot of confusing editing mistakes and lost my place in the time line. I did multiple "undo's" and just got all the more lost. I decided to just backup. This project is 1 library and one event.

I did File-->Open Library-->From Backup. I selected the last time stamped backup, worked perfectly. Now I have two libraries, my original and the time stamped library I'm using that I backed up from. My new back up also has all the Event collections as the original.

I see that returning to the original library, it has remained the same (messed up) as when I applied the back up, it also has all the keyword and smart collections in-tacked. Question, does this library (the original) retain all the original media with the sim links to the new back up library I now use?
Wanting to keep things tidy, can I trash the original library then stay using my new time stamped back up? or, would I loose my media?

Select your new (backup) Library in the Browser, Consolidate it, then toss the original messed up Library into the Trash, you're safe.
