Does FCPX actually perform a re-render? was created by rrongman
Example
Footage in ProRes 422
Project with Render Format set to ProRes LT
Output master to ProRes HQ
If I choose to have the render format in a project set to ProResLT and later decide to output the master file of the timeline to to for example ProResHQ.
Does FCPX do a re-render of the already rendered (LT) parts to the quality I choose from?
Best regards

Not in the sense I think you mean. When you export no render files are generated. Your renders are still in LT, though your export is HQ.
