Hi all.

I am running FCP 10.1.? on both my machines. On my iMac (on a different network) I got the 10.1.4 update and updated no problem but on my Macbook Pro I am still stuck on FCP 10.1.3 without the update appearing in the App Store, same log-in.

Has FCP 10.1.4 been limited to only one machine now?

Feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Does the application appear in the Purchases page of the App Store? Move the app to the trash and re-download it. Or copy it from one machine to the other.

Thanks Tom. I'll copy it.

Do you know if you can just copy the app from the applications folder, will all the current pre-sets i.e. keyboard, LUTs, etc... still be there.

Those are all outside the application and have nothing to do with updating it.

Better yet, move the Final Cut Pro X application from the Applications folder, to the trash. Then launch the App Store, go to the Purchases section, you'll see to the right of Final Cut Pro X a button labeled "Install".

If that doesn't work, you are not logged in to the App Store, and should be.

I was hoping to avoid the 3+ Gig download again. If the 10.1.4 copy does not work as I hope then I re-download.

Yip, absolutely, that is the main problem I guess. I am wondering if FCP 10.1.4 can only be used on 1 machine now per user/purchase.

No one seems to be answering that.

You can install on any number of machines you own and control. There have always been problems with pro apps and the App Store. If you see it in the Purchases page you can download it. If it's not there the Apple ID must be incorrect. If you're sure it's right you'll need to contact the App Store.
