Is there a way to change playback speed without actually retiming clips?

Hey All,
Often near the end of editing project I find myself wanting to quickly play through everything to scan for errors and such; is there a way to alter the default Final Cut playback speed to make such activities go quicker? Note: I don't mean actually retiming the clips for faster speed: I don't want to change anything just "Browse" through it quickly. Thanks!

J/K/L
hit J/L twice= 2x playback
hit J/L three times = 4x playback
hold K, click J/L = per frame
hold K, hold J/L = 'slow' playback ...
K = Pause
Space = Stop/Play
I position my right hand on the keyboard: pointer on J (has that 'nipple')
use thumb for space-bar
use middle finger for I and O to set in-/out-points

You're welcome! ....
next episode: left hand....
switching btw. Events & Project, cmd-1, cmd-2.... etc etc etc
Me coming from iMovie, I was used to handle an NLE by mouse/trackpad; meanwhile, on FCPX, I learned: you get its full potential only by using keyboard shortcuts.... , . [ ] are of paramount importance too! Finally individualized shortcuts for your personal needs&sets...

Has always been, the more time you edit on the keyboard, the faster you get through your work.
