Mxf and FinalCut Pro X. Weird behavior! was created by christian.frank
I got some 720p GoPro footage and transcode it to mxf on Compressor 4.1.3 only to test.
I tried some presets (720p29.97 AVC-Intra 50 , 720p 29.97 AVC-Intra 100) and other presets.
But when I tried to import to FCPX 10.1.4 I got a Black Image and fields "Start" , "End" and "Duration"
are 00:00:00:00 . Weird because I didn't have problems to import it on Avid, Premiere and Smoke.
What's wrong?
Image 1 (it's all ok with Avid, Premiere and Smoke)

Image 2 ( But look what happens on FCP X 10..1.4

I have no problems importing an MXF file created in Compressor, nor any other MXF file for that matter, into FCP X:
As you see the start and end time codes of the imported files are displayed correctly.
So I think there must be something wrong at your end. Do you have any older MXF import plugins installed on your system (Calibrated or Hamburg Pro Media)?
