Morning!

I have some RED footage that was shot in 25fps and external audio which seems is form a Zoom.
The Audio is drifting out of sync. Audio in case is drifting faster then the image.
Driven me up the wall... I tried everything transcoding in Compressor changing the speed it up in Final Cut Pro X.
When I mark some of audio queues with the image and adjust the speed (approx. 94%) it will still dirt out.

Like if the audio is not in a continues speed???

And suggestions?

I'm not a pro on that matter, I think Andreas or Ronny will answer you when they see the post.

But have you tried to sync your audio and footage with PluralEyes ? They updated their software yesterday to deal with RED footage, and you have an option there to "correct drifting audio"

In this case there is no audio on the footage.
Fixing the drift is not the problem, the problem I see is that the drift "speed" picks up during the clip.

I probably cannot help you, I think you're totally knowing what you're doing. But I'm just curious, how do you see that the drift is speeding up ?

Verify the audio clip's sample rate with the Project timeline's sample rate. I bet they don't match. All video should have a sample rate of 48kHz. I'm going to guess you Timeline is, but the clip is not.

Nope all the same, as I said it is not a constant speed change its like a speed Ramp.
Checking it out with the sound guy this weekend.

Will let you guys know when I find out more.

Yes, sample rate differences are a "ramp", not constant.

"Like if the audio is not in a continues speed"

If that's the case chances are bad.
You might try to keyframe the audio file in an audio editor.
