URGENT - Project not rendering, will not share.

Hi,

Hopefully somebody can help. I have included a screenshot, as you can see the orange bars appear when I change something, say a colour correction, but all background tasks show as idle and they won't render the clips. I'm doing a little music video for my friend, who's using it to propose to his girlfriend in 2 days, it's going up at the local cinema after the credits roll on Hunger Games, so the pressure is on!!

When I go to share nothing happens, it doesn't even register the click on the share option (youtube, Master etc)

Never had this happen before, and it isn't happening on any other projects or events. I recently downloaded RT Color Balance, but doubt it's that.

Sorry, here's the screenshot

To add a screenshot you press the Add File button, you select your screenshot (JPEG or PNG, no bigger than 300 KB) and hen the still is listed you press insert to insert it at the end of your post.

If you cannot render nor share there is either something wrong with your footage, or your FCP X preferences have gotten corrupt.

So first delete your FCP X Preferences (close FCP X and re-open it while holding the ALT+CMD keys pressed down; you will get a message asking if you want to delete your preferences; confirm and let FCP X open).

Then open your Library and see if you can render the timeline. If you can, you will be able to export the edit.
If you cannot render first thing you need to do is to disable the effects on the first clip that needs rendering, then try rendering again. If the clip is rendered without the effects there is a problem with the kind of effect you are using. In this case post back.

Your screenshot did not show. Read Ronny Courten's response for that.

After preference reset & still not working try this:

In the Timeline, zoom in enough to see where the orange bar starts and see if there's a red bar where it starts. If it does, you might have doubled an effect or a corrupt clip. If corrupt, select clip in the timeline and right click to 'Reveal in Browser' and 'Overwrite' it with the same clip (shortcut: 'D'). I hope his helps, this has happened to me and it took many trial & errors to locate my error of adding two NeatVideo Denoise Plugin on one clip. Report back on your findings. Good luck.
