Hello,

I am trying to figure out a workflow for producing videos for a series of 3-5 days outdoor events, filmed with 4-5 cameras.

Every day we must produce :
A- a Raw best-of : that needs to get out asap
B- an edit for the Web : needs to get out soon after.
C- 2 raw shots for social networks at twelve and 3pm

At the end of the event we produce :
D- 5 thematic edits for the web
E- a 26 minutes film.

The problem is that I need two editors working at the same time on the projects A and B, BUT I don't want both of them to go through ALL the media because there is just no time if we want to do it good.

Ideally, as soon as the media arrives, share the load of work for keywording and favouriting, then merge their events and start editing...

But this whole thing sounds a little messy, I guess I should do some testing, or post here and ask for advice :) Thanks !

details :
2 computers (mac pro and imac)
Medias stored outside library
One MASTER library that includes every "events" and "projects" of the previous days. Compiled at the end of each day.
One Temp-Library per computer (A&B), inside which editor has events of his own.

One thing I want to make sure is that when we merge events, it doesn't copy media or create multiple reference to the media. Ex : if editor A puts a keyword on clip0001, and editor B puts another keyword on clip0001, when I merge both events I want "one" clip0001" but both keywords on this clip.

Thanks a lot for your input !

What is the benefit of merging events?
