Automatic camera changes - Is there a way? was created by garters
Each week I get video from a live switching desk and edit it. There are 4 cameras from different viewpoints switched live. Apart from editing the footage down to 28.5 minutes, I add slow zooms and pans to some cameras. To do this I blade at the In and out point of the cameras, 1,2,3,4. And drop the effect on.
Is there a plugin or some way that FCPX can find all the camera changes and blade automatically?
It would speed up editing a lot!

Have you tried Resolve?
There is scene detection in there.

Not yet, but it looks like I'm in for another learning curve.
I'll also need to learn how to round-trip to FCPx.
Thanks for the quick response.

Google for Resolve scene detection. There are some tutorials.
From Resolve you can export XML for FCP X.
