Hello talented and wonderful people... i'm having an error opening project..
We were running fine and then FCPX crashed. When i try to open the project it says,
The operation couldn’t be completed. Permission denied
“141108 - TheNewPR” is already in use by “Dave” on “daves-macbook-pro.local”.
141108-TheNewPR is the project and DAVE happens to be my computer. I'm assuming FCPX thinks i still have it open and won't give me permission to open. I've trashed the FCPX prefs, restarted.. nada. I can open any other project wtihout error.
Is there a way to trash a particular projects prefs within the file itself (without opening FCPX).. maybe there is a .plist file within the FCPX project by "show contents" and trashing it within?
please help

What version of the software are you using? Projects are built into events inside libraries. Is TheNewPR the name of the library?

I know this thread is old but I just figured out that if you delete the ".lock" file that is at the root of your library you can get back in.
You will need to go in with terminal or enable hidden files in the finder.
Or at least this worked for me.
