FCPX constantly backuping
I'm experiencing an annoying issue: FCPX is constantly backuping a library: when it reaches 100%, it starts again.
I've tried deleting all render files, no luck.
Any idea what to do ?
Thank you!

There is no such thing as a "regular EXT3 MacOS partition". The standard format for the Mac is HFS+, a.k.a. "Mac OS Extended". EXT3 is a format used by Linux, and does not have much support, if at all, on the Mac.

I'm sorry it's just old memories that mixed up. The partition is "a regular" HFS+.
I have all my libraries on this drive and I'm working on this project for long time so it just started just like that, I'm afraid I can't say more.

I'm just leaving now for 2 days but I'll try asap when I'm back. I think you're probably right to advise that.

All me libraries and media are on external t-bolt drives. My backups are on in Movies folder on internal drive (running 10.1.3 on nMP).
FCPX is supposed to only create 1 backup per library, and then updates that one file every 15 mins, correct? But I have many backups libraries (separate files, spaced about an hour apart). That is the bug, yes?
I am currently cutting two projects for delivery next week so don't want to update to 10.1.4 just yet. Any thoughts/solutions?
It doesn't really affect my workflow other than periodically I need to go and throw away older backups or they start chewing up precious SSD hard drive space (only have 250 GB on the tube).
Thanks as always.

No. It creates a new backup about once every 15 minutes depending on what happens in the application.
