how to trim clip with transition in place? was created by steve223
Hello,
Have problems getting the frame icon to appear for a snipped in my timeline if I have a transition already in place. I most of the time only can edit the transition but not the clip. So now I have to delete transition, resize clip but transition back in. There must be a better way??
Thanks a lot for any help

There are three handles at the top of the transition, one on each end that lets you ripple the adjacent clips, and one in the middle that lets you roll the edit point.

You can also use the keyboard short cuts to "top" or "tail" a clip: opt-left bracket or opt-right bracket and it trims the start or end of the clip to the playhead leaving the transition in place.
