I saved my file on a semi-public computer (usually only for film students) but someone came in and I guess erased mine or did something where now it is only their file.
How might I go and restore it to my project? Please help! :(

There should be a folder in your Movies folder called Final Cut Backups.
In there, you should find the folder with the name of the library you need to get the back up of.
In that folder there are backups saved by date/time. Open the one you want and it will restore to the same location that the library resides.

Those backups are database backups only, not media backups. If your media is missing, that's not going to be good.

I work with many colleges and universities teaching film and communications students. They all require students to obtain their own drive, and keep all their media, projects, work on that drive. The school is not responsible if your dog eats your homework, you still get an F. Sad but true. Lesson learned, get a portable drive, protect your work.

Can you get the original media back in there and maybe relink from a backup?
