Quick question about exporting raw clips was created by Harmonica
Hey, complete amateur when it comes to Final Cut but I've got a question re a project I'm working on.
Is there a way I can export the raw clips as imported from camera to a hard drive folder from FCP?

What format are these clips?
What is the goal of this process?
You can always assign the Library to put media into a folder on that drive in the Library settings. Consolidate, then switch back to the Library, and consolidate again.
Or create a Compressor preset to match the original format.
Depends...

Hi Will, welcome to the forum.
Yes you can import from a camera or a camera card and save the imported clips to any folder you specify.

AVCHD format.
Goal essentially is to be able to transfer the raw footage onto a different hard drive location.
Again, I'd just like to apologise for my naivety when it comes to this stuff because it's not something I've got much experience in.
Thanks! I'm not at the machine ready to work so I'll get back to you if I have any issues.
