FCPX 10.1.3
System 10.10
4tb Thunderbolt Drive
SD Cards
AVCHD Footage
Each Clip about 10 minutes long

While importing, it seems that FCP is freezing up whenever the screen saver comes on. I have disabled App Nap but I am still having this problem. Very frustrating as I am expecting import to be done when I return but the program is hung up at 20% import and I have to force quit. Any thoughts? My only thought was that it could be screen saver.

What computer is this? What are the Energy saver settings? Computer should be set to never switch off and drives to never spin down. Display dimming to 15 minutes or so.

Energy saver setting like you said prior to problem
Screen saver was set to come on after 20 minutes

If the display is set to dim in 15 minutes, why is the screen saver coming on in 20?
