For some reason, this morning, when I try to import any files into FCPX from my external drive FCPX just crashes immediately. I've tried multiple clips, single ones from different folders etc and the same happens overtime. I've trashed preferences and shut down/restarted twice now, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update : I rewrap in clipwrap (they are C100 files) and optimise for FCPX. I just took one of those files and ran it through MPEG streamclip into Prores 422 and it loaded into FCPX so it seems its something to do with Clipwrap? which is strange as I've been using it for about a year on the same settings....

Glory,
Crash logs should show you what caused the issue.
Hope this helps, Greg

Did you just update to Yosemite ?

Does it do the same in a new project ?

I updated about 10 days ago, been fine up until now, though saying that I find FCPX pretty buggy at the minute and a lot slower since I updated. Thats after a clean reinstall of FCPX as well, leaving out 90% of my plugins. Anyway, it turns out I needed a different build of claptrap, which the guys at divergent sorted for me as there was some bad metadata in the files. Kinda weird, but sorted now. Thanks
