Uploading longer videos from FCPX to Youtube

Greetings: I have been trying to upload through my usual Youtube pre-set a 33 minute-long video through FCPX 10.1, but the upload keeps stalling out at 50 percent and then failing. Other admins who have acesss to this Youtube page have been able to upload to the Youtube page videos of this length.

I do get a warning when I hit the upload button that 'videos longer than 15 minutes may fail.' Is there some admin permission I need on the Youtube page to upload videos longer than 15 minutes? Thanks

PS: My account email at Youtube is verified for uploads longer than 15 minutes.

Alas, I see no way to contact YouTube. There is just a YouTube Community Forum which doesn't seem to get many responses.

Douglas, I seem to recall that YT had a time linit for videos. I thought it was 15 minutes UNLESS you had some special permission/account setting/ requset to YT.

This was a while ago. Go to YT's video upload specs and see what the new rules are and please report back.

Yes, Jonathan. Once you 'verify' your account through Youtube you are authorized for uploads of longer than 15 minutes. My account is verified, but frustratingly this 33-minute video I need to upload gets to the 50 percent upload mark on a Youtube export and then stops and won't go further. Other admins on this YouTube page have successfully uploaded 30 minute videos to the page from their PCs (not Macs and not via Final Cut). I don't know the answer and it is driving me batty as I was tasked with uploading a slew of lecture videos lasting more than a half-hour each from a monastery I go to.

My soccer-reports are frequently beyond 15min <sigh> ... I'm NOT using the built-in YT-upload feature, just export from within FCPX to hard drive and then upload using YT's own web-interface. Works like charm, for years ...

FCPX lil' brother, iMovie has the same issue - although the user is 'allowed' by YT to upload beyond 15min, from within the apps no joy ...

Is there anyone having success uploading videos of 30 minutes or longer to YouTube through a Youtube preset through Final Cut Pro X 10.1.3? My YouTube account is verified for videos longer than 15 minutes.
