Annoying blackout

My Apple Thunderbolt display with nMP, goes black for half scond when working in FCPX 10.1.3 and Yosemite. This happened only few times in the biginning but now happens more frequently every 15 minutes or so. This is very irritating. Has someone else had similar experience ? It only happens when working in FCPX.

I see this with my 2013 Mac Pro and Thunderbolt display. But I am still on Mavericks so I don't think it's a Yosemite issue specifically. I also do not see it that often, maybe once or twice a week. Somewhere somebody mentioned that it possibly has to do with certain plug-ins but I don't recall any details.

I get this with FCPX and Motion 5 only since updating to Yosemite, on a nMP.

A possible solution. I Display preferences I turned of "Automatically adjust brightness" I have now been working two hours without blackout. Could be just a coincidence.
