Final Cut Pro is obviously trying to make the animations more smooth by making the start and stop of the animation slower. How do I get rid of that though? I want the moving animation to be the same speed the whole time.

Right-Click on the keyframe in the Viewer and change it to Linear. This effects position. Scale is a different matter.
