Export freezes at 26%

So people,

I'm working on exporting a 41-minute project from FCPX. The export consistently freezes at 26 or 27% every time. I've restarted the app tons of times, done everything listed in this topic below, and can't find what else to do. It's a wedding ceremony so time is of the essence. Basically I'm freaking out because I cannot find the solution. Someone please help me out!

Check at which frame it stops - you should see it in the error message.
Then check this this frame in the timeline.

What Andreas says, plus it would be very helpful if you gave some more information:

How are you exporting? As a master file, to H.264, to DVD, via Compressor.... ?
Do you get an error message when the exporting gets stuck?
Does the system or the application freeze or is it just the export process that gets stuck?
To what kind of drive are you exporting?

Exporting to H.264,
I don't get any message and the application does not freeze, the exporting is just stuck on 26% for hours and hours.
There is no error message. I'm exporting to an external hard drive with 1.26TB available that I've exported to more than enough times.

Try exporting the edit to a master file (ProRes 422) instead. This should be much faster, and if it works you can always convert the master file to H.264. in FCP X, Compressor or any conversion app.

I just re-opened the app after it was closed while I slept, and the orange render bar was over a couple clips, so I replaced them and voila it worked. No idea why because the clips weren't exactly in the 26% range, more like 35%, but hey it worked so problem solved. Thanks for trying to help!

Congrats and next time you may try to move all your project into your external hd and try to export using another computer before you can solve your computer's problem.
