Color correction using RGB parade was created by Guitarzan
Hi, I have been wondering for quite a while how to correct colors in the RGB parade. I understand most of the basics of color correction but I'm facing one obstacle.
How do i bring all the colors in the RGB scope so that the colors don't go below 0% at the bottom of the scopes? I can't or don't know how to get them all equal at 0%. Sometimes the reds will be above 0% and the blues below 0% I can't seem to balance the lows out. I guess in effect if the blues are below 0% the blues would be crushing?
I can balance them out OK, but can't change the them at the 0% line.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Practice, Practice, Practice...
But seriously, unless your video is solid black, you're probably not going to want to have all the shadow levels exactly at 0%.
It's a combination of adjusting the shadow levels for color, saturation and exposure - and then those adjustments also effect the mids and highs, so it takes some time to balance.
You can try the "Broadcast Safe" filter to have an absolute cut off at 0% and 100%.

Thanks! I've seen a few instruction videos where the RGB levels were lined up nicely at 0%. I assuming perhaps wrongly that for most situation they should be...... I'll start practicing!
