Ghost frame in the middle of my transitions

This has been a huge problem in my last music video editing project.

In many of my transitions on secondary storylines (especially "Frame roll"), some ghost frames from random clips always appear for a short moment in between the two shots at hand.

I first thought it was showing the clip undearneath, so I tried disabling those or even putting a black solid in between tracks to make sure. It didn't work.

Taking off the transition and applying it again works at times and not at others.

And what's worst, when I succeed in making these ghost frames disappear from transitions some way or another, I see them back again anytime I reopen FCP.


Has anyone experienced this problem? It is very concerning, to say the least.

I have loads of plugins on my test system and I would like to see what's happening, but I cannot seem to find the "Frame Roll" transition you are talking about. Where did you get that?

Perhaps it's something with digital heaven.

But I even saved the transition with an other name from motion and the issue still occurs.

No-one has ever experienced this pb with other transitions?

I've been testing, and can't duplicate this.

I'd drop D-H tech support a line.
