Oh s$%t my project is gone...after 8 hours of editing - Slice X froze iMac

I'm hoping someone can help me.

Today I've been doing a edit on the latest version of FCPX. I use a Promise Pegasus drive and edit direct onto it.

I was using Slice X which I've not used in a while and 90% of the way through the entire machine froze. I left it for about 30 minutes but since the mouse had stopped responding I restarted the iMac.

When I go into FCPX now, all of the event data is there, even stuff imported just prior to running Slice X but no project. There is the warning triangle on the event library with reference to a 1 No Data. When I click the expand triangle it does nothing. Having been on it all day I'm pretty much gutted. There seems to be a few ways of getting it restored having been online but now I'm super nervous.

Can anyone help?

Right in addition to this, I've gone into the user account movies FCPX backup and been able to find the timeline which was good up to about 4 minutes before the crash, I've been able to open it but it's near on all Missing File warnings...
