How to stop background tasks

Just out of curiosity I did something I obviously shouldn't have done.

I selected all titles (Hebrew) in a 1000 subtitle - all titles the same effect - project and changed something just to test whether it affects all titles or not.

Result is unknown.
FCP X loads the Motion template and font for each title to apply the change.
Giving up after 10 minutes or so in the hope I could do an Undo, doesn't make it better.

So I am stuck - would make no sense to stop the background task for each title.

Hey Andreas,

As this is not a background task you can switch off in the Background Tasks window I think the only way to stop this is to quit FCP X.

This was a kind of "joke" note.
Each title is a background task which can be stopped manually and shows up as background task
And "yes" - I can quit FCP X.

What I didn't know was that loading a title or an effect is a background process that shows in the Activity monitor. Good to know.

"Fun thing" is that doing an "Undo" will reverse the whole process. Each title will be processed by a "backup" each own.
As said it was just a test - a "Quit FCP X" does solve the problem.

Yes, I'm having trouble with PMs since the forum was updated. We used to see new message notifications on the start page. Now you have to click the Private Messages button to see them, and I often forget to do this.
