struggling with fcpx scrolling text

I'm trying to put scrolling text over a gradient at the end of a video and for some reason, the different lines resolve differently. Not sure if this is clear or what I'm doing wrong. Are there better third-party scrolling fx? thx

It looks like you have set different fonts and different alignment for parts of the title.

I have no trouble placing the scrolling over the gradient. Choosing different fonts and sizes, etc. can be done by directly selecting the text in the viewer and making changes in the inspector.

Try selecting a bit of the first line and look at the inspector - make a note of the selected font and size
Then if you do the same for, say, the fourth line, you'll find out what is different.
If you want everything to look the same, you can just select all the text at once and make the appropriate changes.

That's what I originally thought but I've checked it each time and the same thing happens. I've treated each line the same and it doesn't seem to make a difference. I'll play with this more later. On a deadline and scrambling! Thanks.

Then maybe it is a bad render. Try deleting the render files and see if sorts itself out.

Be sure you highlight ONLY the "Name" for the name, and ONLY the "Discription" for the persons title. If you highlight the whole line at once, I've seen this mess things up. Just thinking out loud here.
