Hey gents! first post. Searching through the forum to resolve an issue and can't seem to find anything.
I just recently took my facility up to 10.9. I along with that came an update for fcpx.
I started fcpx and it asked to update my library., however all of my projects and events folders are greyed out and it cannot select them. I have rechecked permissions.
FCPX cannot see them.

You don't select the projects and events. You select the volume to update. FCP updates everything in the volume in the appropriate location.

There's information here that will help you get up to speed with the new versions.

Thanks Tom,
I read that you posted this in another post and obviously just elected the volume. It doesn't import anything when selecting the volume alone. I tried moving the events to another volume using event manager x and event manager x says these events cannot be used.
This is something deeper than just run of the mill placements. As you can see form the screen shots the folders are greyed out and invisible from fcpx. I have events on another volume that came over fine.

The screen shot doesn't show the folder structure from the root level. Can you show the structure from the sidebar in column view? Do you have the volume selected? How is it connected? How is it formatted?
It also looks as if Macintosh HD 2 was updated in the afternoon.

It was a permissions issue I guess. For some reason FCPX 10.1.3 would not see the files. I have no clue why. I ended up copying the files to an external drive. Mounted the external on a old system with 10.0.9 on it. I created a new project and imported a video clip so it would create a new events a projects folder. Then I copied the files from the old folder into the new one. I took that drive back to the 10.1 system and it would see them.. Finally.
