Transition on title

How to put transition on title without effecting video below, ex: movements section, swing transition? Thanx

Hi Eugenijus, and welcome to the forum.

Some transitions, like the Swing transition, always affect the clip that is below the clip to which the transition is applied. But there is a way to avoid this:

1. R-click the title on your timeline and choose "New Compound Clip"

2. A window will open telling you that you are creating a compound clip, press OK to confirm. Then R-click the title compound clip on the timeline and choose "Open in Timeline"

3. The title will open in a new timeline. Add the transition to the title

4. R-click the transition and de-select "Transition to/from Black"

5. Click on the little triangle above the timeline to return to the main timeline

6. Now your transition will only affect the title and not the clip under it
