Record Voice Over - As Voice Over Role

Is it possible to record voice over directly to a Role labeled "Voice Over" ? By default it seems to record to "Dialogue" which mixes it in with the audio on whatever video clips are playing.

I'm filming instructional videos in a loud environment, and trying to only have my scratch voiceover over them, so I can have a professional voice over recorded by another person over top of my wording and timing...

It would save a lot of time if i didn't have to re-role each clip as I go as voiceover instead of dialogue...

Any tips?

No, you have to manually assign the Role after the fact. I've filled out feedback asking for this, too. Time to do it again.

Imagine if there was a drop down on the HUD that just allowed you to select ANY role or sub role you have created tone assigned to the VO clips you are about to make. Now that would be awesome. Especially with multiple voice overs and what not in the same timeline...

Would love it, as I do tons of VO work. Feedback form!
