Share library between users?

Hey, awesome forum :)

I got really good and fast help here earlier, so I'm gonna go for it again! I recently created a library with a number of projects incorporated. Now I would like to share this library with another user on the same iMac.

I realize that I can just copy the library to a hard drive and then paste it onto the other users folder, but since it is rather large, I was wondering if there's any way to share the library WITHOUT copying it? Meaning that we can both edit the same library - depending on which of us are using the iMac.

Hope you understand my question. Otherwise, feel free to ask questions.

Thanks a lot!

Try putting the library, assign you're using managed media, in the Shared user and making sure in Finder info that everyone has read/write access.

Or just keep everything on an external drive and edit from there.

I would recommend that as well.

From your user account click the library in Finder and while holding down command key drag it to the external drive. Using the command key will not copy the library but move it.
