Audio problem was created by woodchip
I have created a wedding video for a friend in fcpx and I find in some of the clips I get an intermittent whine for a split second on the audio. I must add that I had used my stereo ext. mike on my Canon xa25 camera. Is there a way I can obliveate this noise ?

Can you post a sample of the whine? Or just a wine sample?

Not sure what you mean by "whine". Do you mean the beep from the DSLR taking photos? That's going to be tough. You'll need something like iZotope RX, which ain't cheap.

No not the dslr bleep, if you listen very carefully there is a definite intermittent audio whine which happens twice in this clip. Thanks for your time blw.

Yes I hear the problem and you will need a program like BenB mention iZotope RX to view a spectragram so you can select the frequency that have the problem and then fix it.

Oh no worries. FCPX has all the tools you need to analyze and fix this. I'm making you a tutorial right now, I'll upload here in a few minutes.

Here is a tutorial on how to deal with your issue, or any other unwanted frequency in a sound. I've used another free app to help you save some time isolating the frequency, but FCPX can handle all of it. Hopefully this will help you now and in the future.

What a star, great stuff and thanks, I'll do my best to follow it. That's how to rectify it but can you tell why it happened
