My hard drive added about 80 gigs and I can't find them was created by Mikev
I created a new library and edited, then moved the library to an external drive, but I did not regain the space on my HD. Are files hidden somewhere? As you can see from profile, new to FCP-X

Not even if you moved the library to the trash and emptied the trash ? (sorry I thought you had copied the library ) You can ignore this post.

Yes...I did move to trash and empty the trash. Just ran Disk Utility and it wants to repair the disk, so I am backing up now and will try that when backup complete.

Restart your computer to flush the _AsyncCopy folder that gets created as a safety measure on your drive when you move Library files to another drive.
