Color Corrections Turn Off Randomly During Export

Has anyone else encountered this bug. I have had it happen two times recently. Once, when exporting a master prores file. The cc was missing from an entire camera from a multi cam clip. I exported again with the same result. I then made a minor alteration to the cc and it exported fine. I thought it was an anomaly that may have resulted from corrupt media or a corrupt project file. Now on my most recent project it has happened again. This time it seems to happen at random. I have the cc to two cameras applied inside of a multi cam clip. Those two cameras turn on and off randomly at edit points in the exported file. This time the file was a custom h.264 file exported directly from FCPX. In each case there were two multi cam clips on the timeline (a performance clip with 6 angles and an interview with 3) and in each case only the interview clip was effected.

I have trashed my preferences, but have not exported another file yet. I am not using any third party plugins. My machine is a Mid 2011 27" iMac. 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 with 12 GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1GB of vRAM. I am running OS X 10.9.4 and FCPX 10.1.2.

It seems to be a problem with paste attributes. Select all the clips and toggle the correction off and back on again should fix it.

Thanks Tom, but that is one of the first things I tried. And while I did paste the CC from one clip to multiple other clips from the same camera, on the original project all of the clips from that camera were effected including the clip on which I made the initial CC. So I don't think it was the paste attributes function in this instance.

I am having the same issue. And Tom's right, suspect it has to do with paste attributes.

I've been able to fix it by going into the suspect clips and adjusting one of the parameters by a single notch/percentage. That seems to correct it permanently.

Don't forget to report it to Apple.

**added: These were not multicam clips, by the way.

Yes, this is a documented bug and Apple are aware of it. Unfortunately, it's the sort of bug that can really get you if you're not diligent about checking your master output on a tight deadline.

I've noticed this issue a few times recently. Sending to Compressor for export seems to be the only reliable solution for now.

Duplicating the Project first, THEN toggling the Colour Effects on and off seemed to work for me.
