Timecode error in FCPX 10.0.8?

Hey,

I'm encountering this really annoying problem using FCPX. I've only been using the program for a few months for a very specific project. It might help to explain the project a little bit:

I recorded simultaneous footage from 3 separate GoPro cameras (one facing forward, one facing left and one facing right) from many bike rides.

The goal of the project is to edit all this footage together and using 3 projectors (one facing front, one facing a left wall, one facing a right wall), show the final 3-way-video in a kind of installation setting.

So, one necessity of editing the footage is that the exact frames/timecodes are noted when making edits and cuts so that I can go to the other 2 camera angles (left and right) and make the same exact edits so that they remain simultaneous.

I outline the problem I'm having on this youtube video I made. If you have any advice or feedback, it would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like the original media is recorded in non-drop timecode while the project uses drop frame timecode.

Thank you so much, this makes a lot of sense. How would you recommend that I fix this? Would you recommend that I make my project non drop frame or make the original media drop frame? (I'm afraid the drop frame might be confusing to me while editing?)

I prefer for everything to be drop, but this is already shot, so it might be simplest to switch the project to non-drop.
